The Heart and the Hands

The heart of our elegant creations

My name is Noémie Vaillancourt, and I specialize in the design of elegant, high-end clothing and accessories. I founded my Noémiah design studio in 2008. Sheltered in the middle of the forest, it allows me to put my soul at the heart of my creations, in an intimate spirit, at the intersection of fashion, art and poetry.

Each creation, such as my silk crepe dresses or my made-to-measure wedding gowns, embodies elegance, refinement and softness, for an upscale, artistic clientele. My collections are directly inspired by my life in nature, and reveal a subtle fusion of romance and modernity. Choosing a Noémiah dress means opting for exclusivity and exceptional craftsmanship. Each dress is a work of art, crafted from the finest fabrics to create an unforgettable experience.

Each piece is designed for women who appreciate fine details, such as broderie anglaise sleeves or mother-of-pearl buttons. I’m also proud to create timeless collections, like our range of wedding dresses, that captivate the hearts of elegant, refined women.

At Noémiah, we understand the importance of feeling unique on special occasions, hence our commitment to quality creations. When you choose a Noémiah gown, you’re not just celebrating an evening, you’re celebrating femininity in all its forms and beauty.

The hands behind our quality garments

From silhouette design to sewing finishes, from the choice of quality materials to tailoring and fitting, I work with the know-how that precedes me. A collection of elegant wedding dresses like Cher amour is the culmination of hundreds of hours of research, training, trial and error. The techniques required for high-end creation demand patience and meticulousness. Whether it’s a French seam, an embroidered edge or a scalloped hem, I pay the utmost attention to detail. Each wedding dress is the fruit of refined craftsmanship, guaranteeing exceptional quality.

As Noémiah’s refined clothing is available almost exclusively online, I sew each garment myself to order. The absence of inventory encourages moderation in all aspects of a fashion business like mine. I cherish the freedom of my daily practice, in the heart of my "couture house in the trees", as I like to call my studio, and the time devoted to developing unique, limited-edition pieces. My love of fine crafts is enriched every day by new discoveries and stimulating encounters. I strive to create bespoke garments of unrivalled quality, in harmony with nature and ethical fashion.

Our approach: Making eco-responsible, quality clothing

From design to production, the quest for quality guides my creative process, in line with my desire to reduce my ecological footprint. Each garment is the fruit of meticulous reflection, because love for a garment is the first step towards its sustainability. I humbly encourage people to rethink their relationship with fashion, focusing on authenticity and sustainability.

This philosophy is embodied in the special relationships I develop with my customers, and the time I invest in tailoring. That’s why I favor the use of natural, sustainable fibers such as silk, wool, cotton, lyocell and linen. All printed fabrics come from a GOTS*-certified facility and are free from azo dyes. Gift packaging is designed and printed locally, winning over the hearts of my detail-oriented customers who are keen to buy environmentally-friendly clothes.

In 2023, with the launch of the Cher amour collection, I set out to find an answer to the problem of single-use wedding dresses. I developed a natural dyeing process that gives a second life to the precious white dress once the big day is over. So you can reclaim your precious wedding dress and be happy to wear it freely again. At Noémiah, we are invited to reconsider our consumption habits, to reconnect with our environment, to draw on ancestral knowledge and to redefine our relationship with time, while retaining our artistic sensibility and the elegance of our creations.

Over the years, the line has been sold in prestigious and international reknown stockists, such Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters and has been seen in Vogue, Frankie, Fashion Magazine, The National Post, The Toronto Star, The Kit, Brides Magazine, Elle Québec, La Presse, La Fabrique culturelle and at the Mercedez Benz Fashion Brisbane Festival.

*The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is a worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibers, including ecological and social criteria. The aim of this standard is to define internationally recognized requirements that ensure organic status of textiles, from the harvesting of the raw materials through the environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing up to labelling, in order to provide a credible assurance to the end consumer.
